Plint Building

The Plint Building originally functioned as an office/ warehouse (with a gross internal floor area of approximately 1,460 square metres) and was built in the early nineties.

To bring the building up to the standards expected for a structure of this type, the refurbishment included a complete replacement of the roof and wall cladding to comply with current ‘U’ values.  The new wall cladding has given a more industrial metallic look and the eaves profile has been re-designed to give a sharper and sleeker appearance.  More extensive translucent rooflights were also introduced into the warehouse area to create better working conditions.

The services were generally replaced and included air conditioning using a VAV system and the reception area was also improved by the introduction of structural glazing to the front elevation.  The main staircase balustrade was replaced with a glass balustrade and the decoration was simplified with a more vivid colour scheme.
