St Teresa's Parish Centre
This project involved the demolition of an existing building and the construction of a new church hall linked to the existing church. The new scheme was to provide a functional and flexible space to fulfil the Parish requirements. The facility was designed to include two meeting rooms, a large function space, expansive foyer area, offices, kitchen facility and associated amenities.
The design of the church hall had a traditional focus ensuring it seamlessly interfaced with the adjacent church. Glazing, roof lights and sun tubes were introduced to increase the amount of natural light in the building. An 'air tightness' strategy was developed and implemented to ensure the energy efficiency of the building.
The features of the project include:
- Glazed atrium roof light.
- Bespoke curved timber office screens.
- Folding partition system.
