Founder's West Corridor Refurbishment

HDC were appointed as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to refurbish the dated ground floor West Corridor of the Grade I listed Founder's Building.

Due to the fact that we were working in a live University environment, the project was split into four phases so that staff could retain the use of their offices.

​

To conceal the multitude of services running at high level around corridor doors, we installed arched boxings with rebating services cupboards to the cross-corridor doors and an impressive plaster cornice and pelmet detail to the entire corridor.

​

The refurbishment was finished off by renewing the finishes, brass ironmongery and lighting throughout.
