The two-storey masonry extension was designed to preserve, restore and embrace the historical architectural features which are now complimented by sympathetic and modern architectural detailing.  This approach included a material pallet which blended with the listed structure, diaper brickwork and the utilisation of Cadeby stone carved to compliment the original enrichment.

The introduction of a glazed link reduced the impact on the building façade and provides a unique vista of the historical building.

Both Canon and New Schools Yard were refurbished to provide an external approach befitting of the calibre of the surrounding buildings.

Enabling phases to facilitate the project included the relocation of an existing sub-station into a bespoke enclosure and an independent demolition contract.

The project acts as the perfect gateway to the college and is the primary arrival point to the world-renowned Eton estate.
