The Provost and Fellows of Eton College
School Hall
School Hall was originally built in the early 1900s to commemorate the South African, or Second Boer War, of 1899-1902. It was funded by parents through a subscription and originally intended to honour the 192 Old Etonians who died in the conflict.
To be executed in tandem with the renovation of a Grade II listed boarding house, the project comprises the refurbishment and extension of the College's orchestral hall, a turn of the century memorial to the Etonians lost in the Ber War.

The works have been designed to the highest specification with the aim of producing an exquisite finish befitting the building's illustrious surrounding and grandiose façade.
In addition to bespoke joinery and replacement of the decorative fibrous plaster barrel-vaulted ceiling, the project incorporates cutting edge acoustic interventions and an innovative tilting floor system enabling venue flexibility to accommodate the College's requirements, the first of its kind to be installed in England.
The project will become a focal point for the College's extensive and prestigious estate and will provide a facility rivalling even the most revered orchestral venues the world over.
