Claycots Primary School - Phase II

After a successful conclusion to Phase I, HDC were once again employed to fulfil the role of QS for Phase II of the expansion plan implemented at Claycots Primary School.  The conclusion of this second stage would see Claycots become one of the largest primary schools in the country. 

The focus of this project was to provide a 450 sq m new build structure incorporating new assembly hall, teaching spaces, staff facilities and link to existing school.

Some features of this project include:

- Monodraught windcatchers providing sustainable, natural ventilation.

- Photovoltaic array with internal display screens for pupil interaction.

- Sun pipes throughout to offer natural light into darker spaces.
