This project replaced the old British Airways catering facility and provides a catering centre for the entire BA Short Haul Catering requirements.
The facility contains cold storage, dry stores, food preparation areas, kitchens, automated trolley packing and storage, vacuum waste disposal systems and automated dishwashing systems, offices and staff accommodation.
HDC were involved in the cost management of the whole facility including the catering equipment.
The project was delivered on time and on budget.
The operating company, Gate Gourmet, were impressed with our service and went on to use HDC on two other major catering facilities at Gatwick and Hatton Cross.
