This project involved the refurbishment and alteration to a four storey end terrace house (448m2) in an exclusive area of Chelsea, London.

As Quantity Surveyors, we provided a full service, working with an Australian interior designer and an overseas client who wished to convey a ‘Feng Shui’ influence in the design concept.

There were significant client changes in the course of the works resulting in delays and disruption. HDC played a key role in the re-sequencing operations and negotiations with the contractor to minimise the effect.

The key features of this project include:

  • Full height external glazed screens set in Portland stone mullions and transoms with stone paving and steps leading to the back garden

  • The third floor internal office balcony with shadow lighting overlooking the sitting room area

  • First floor balcony and glazed balustrade and teak panel infill flooring
