HDC were appointed as Quantity Surveyors by Digital for this fit out comprising 97,000 sq ft with a contract period of 16 weeks, value £7.0m*.
HDC were then appointed to provide the QS services on an adjacent site for the New South Coast Sales Office of a further 78,000 sq ft to be designed and constructed in a period of 12 months. This project won a Civic Trust Award for building Design, value £12.3m*.
This led to HDC joining with the Employer to develop a package procurement system based on amendments to the JCT design & Build contract. This was very successful and formed the basis of future strategies on other projects where there was a need to overlap design and construction to meet tight programme objectives but nevertheless obtain maximum cost control.
Following the success of these projects. HDC were involved in the development of the Digital Masterplan for the balance of the land they had purchased, value £180m*.
